Scents reveal divine presence.
It has be known since forever that most people can smell something and be taken back to a time in which they smelled the same thing, either it be a pleasant scent, or not. The memory of perfume is something no one can deny. I often find myself trying to remember where and when I first took notice of a significant perfume, I can tell who is coming closer just by noticing their specific scent in the air. This is why I think one of the most important things someone can wear is perfume.
Whether your just heading over to the supermarket, or going to an elegant affair, always make sure to spritz on your favorite scent! You never know who you may bump into! And i'll guarantee whom ever he or she may be, they will remember your perfume for a very long time!
Here are some of my personal favorite's:

Ines Kovačević-Photography
The next big thing!
Although she's still young (only 19) her talent behind the camera is impeccable. She's the next female Mario Testino, Either that or some sort of very successful magazine editor. No one can deny this girls abilities! She's a workaholic with a passion.
Currently Ms. Kovačević attends the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and just happens to be one of my best friends!

Camille Rose Garcia
Camille Rose Garcia was born in 1970 in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the generic suburbs of Orange County, visiting Disneyland and going to punk shows with the other dissenchanted youth of that era. Her paintings of creepy cartoon children living in wasteland fairy tales are critical commentaries on the failures of capitalist utopias. Creative influences include Phillip K. Dick, William Burroughs, Henry Darger,Walt Disney, as welll as politically aware bands like The Clash and Dead Kennedys. Her recent solo show, Ultraviolenceland, explored ideas of violence and empire.
Her work has appeared in Flaunt Magazine, Rolling Stone, Juxtapoz, and Paper Magazine, among others. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
Watch out for this up and coming contemporary artist! Her work reminds me of a darker version of Alice in Wonderland.
Her lines are very fine and impeccable! The best gothic cartoon style paintings I have ever seen. Enjoy!

Paris Fashion Week - Spring/Summer 2009
Although these looks were shown in October during the Paris Fashion Week, I admit to not have posted much during that very month. So, I felt that it was my duty to show some of my favorite looks from that week (specially since it was one of the most important weeks of the fashion year) even though its been a while since they came out, Im sure they will stick around for long.

Alexander McQueen
Comme Des Garcon

These very creative designers have documented moments in time such as modern artists or architects! Whoever said fashion wasn't art?!

Andrea Klarin-Grace Jones
It would take a bold and confident photographer to work with Ms Grace Jones – she of the panther like qualities and iconic outlandish style! What seems almost impossible was made possible by photographer Andrea Klarin. Klarin seems to have created not only a working relationship with Ms Jones but also a truly collaborative experience with startling results. See for yourself!

Parthenis
Zeus, Hercules, Hermes, Hades... those names don't mean much to me nowadays. On the other hand, Dimitris Parthenis is a true Greek God! After a summer abroad and a few days in Mykonos and Athens I have had the pleasure to get to know this brilliant Greek designer. In my opinion his clothes are as clean and beautiful as I would imagine Mount Olympus to be.
Dimitris Parthenis opened his first store in Athens in 1970. The next venture in 1978 was in Mykonos, a great source of inspiration for the designer. In the mid 80's the Parthenis brand had conquered the Greek market and the designer was considered an innovator in his field. Today the Parthenis look remains timeless and simple with a unisex easy-living feel and pure elegant Greek aesthetic.

Lenny by Lenny Niemeyer
If you are Brazilian, when you think "beach" you think Lenny.
In 1987, after producing and selling bikini's to several stores around Brazil, Lenny Niemeyer decided to open her own boutique. A few years later, nearly every State in Brazil has been honored to have a Lenny store of their own. This famous Brazilian designer has been making the best beachwear since forever. Her bikini's are sophisticated and fit so well it is nearly impossible to feel ugly half naked. Plus, they are the most comfortable it gets when it comes to summer gear. Thankfully we in the U.S. can now buy these fab bikini's and clothes by Lenny at some department store's such as Barney's New York, Saks Fifth Ave, and Bloomingdale's!
Here are some pictures from the Summer 08/09 Season, Enjoy! (Don't forget, when it's Winter here, it's Summer in South America)
